One question: HOW PERFECT ARE CHIP AND JOANNA GAINES? Sure, I’m obsessed with this show because the houses they renovate turn out GORG but mostly because I just want to be them when I grow up.
Homemade fleece blankets
You know, the ones with the ties that your mom makes? Yeah. Wrap me up in one and I’m good for at least 4 hours with no movements. Blanket burrito city, here I come.
Don’t judge a veggie by its look: spaghetti squash may look kind of watery and weird, but I promise it’s delicious if you cook it right. The way I do it? Poke holes all over & throw it in the micro for about 4-5 minutes to get it soft enough to cut. Once you can get a knife through it (these suckers are hard to cut sometimes, seriously!), slice in half and scoop the seeds out. Place each half face down on aluminum foil on a cookie sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Take out of the oven, shred the squash with a fork (making it “spaghetti” like) and immediately toss in a skillet. Sautee it with your choice of spice or sauce. My favs are either garlic salt & feta or peanut sauce with lots of veggies to make it like a low carb pad Thai!
Burgundy sweaters (or burgundy anything, really)
Like Rosie’s caramel-colored faux suede skirt, both of these burgundy sweaters are from our favorite boutique shop in New Bedford, Calico. I am obsessed with the different looks each of these give an outfit and, obviously, the color in general. Burgundy compliments almost anyone’s complexion in my opinion not to mention it seems to be the hot color of the season. Do you guys have anything burgundy-esqe in your wardrobes right now? Leave a pic below! I could use some inspiration!
